Today Datamars has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer.

Effective immediately, John Adent will assume the role of CEO, transitioning from the position of Executive Director at Datamars. Adent, who has held previous CEO roles for both Animal Health International and Neogen, brings extensive leadership and sector expertise to the position.

Adent says: “I’m looking forward to working together with the Datamars team to build on our strong legacy and success, and to improve and evolve as an organisation, so we can make the absolute most of the extraordinary opportunity we have to keep growing our impact – making a measurable difference to our customers, sectors and communities.”

Outgoing CEO Daniele Della Libera will assume the role of Executive Chair for Datamars, with Klaus Ackerstaff moving from the Executive Chair position to a Non-Executive Board Director role.

Della Libera says: “Datamars is very fortunate to have John stepping into the CEO role and it’s good timing – the company is very well positioned for a strong 2026 and beyond and I look forward to supporting John to steer Datamars into the next exciting phase of growth and success.”
