At Datamars we need only two words to represent ‘sustainability’. The Future.

Practical future-oriented values are found right across our business – they define our commitment to a future that can, if we all play our part, be more sustaining than ever.

Our efforts are focused across four key areas:

Meeting the needs of a growing world population and ensuring the sustainability of animal-based food production systems.

Individual animal management and health services are critical to maximizing animal wellbeing, enabling the careful management of scarce resources (land, water, feed) and helping meet the nutritional needs and preferences of a growing world population.

Every animal requires exactly the health support necessary, at the right time, not only for its own sake, but to demonstrate responsible husbandry for the sake of the long-term reputation of animal-based food production systems.

Supporting the protection of rural and developing societies against infectious diseases

It’s vital to help our rural industries and developing nations prepare for any major animal health issue such as an outbreak of contagious disease. Our identification solutions have been developed over decades in close collaboration with regulatory bodies and animal health associations.

Contributing to the communities in which we operate

As an organization employing around 1500 people across 21 countries, we embrace a responsibility to actively support the communities that we are a part of. We do this through local charitable support, volunteer efforts and the proactive and local management of environmental factors relevant to our operations.

ISO environmental management system accreditation

Datamars has an ongoing accreditation program to meet and maintain ISO 14001, an internationally agreed standard for environmental management systems. In line with this, we consider all environmental issues relevant to our operations, such as air pollution, water and sewage issues, waste management, soil contamination, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and resource use and efficiency.
